Marlon Brando
When Marlon Brando first moved to the big city in 1943, he lived with his sister at Patchin Place, a cul-de-sac located off of 10th Street between Greenwich Avenue and 6th Avenue. In 1946, he moved nearby to The Daytonian on 43 Fifth Avenue near 11th Street, while he studied acting. Then in 1949, a couple of years before garnering a Best Actor Academy Award nomination and shooting to worldwide fame as Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire, Brando moved to 53 West 57th Street.
