Off-White: Virgil Abloh's Brainchild and the Pioneer of Designer Streetwear
You know Virgil Abloh, the newly-instated creative designer for Louis Vuitton. Not only has he produced some amazing pieces during his time with LV, but he has also trailblazed designer brands' path to branch out in the streetwear realm. He got his start by starting Pyrex, a little-known streetwear brand that still boasts decent resell prices for its vintage pieces, which I believe is likely because the brand was Abloh's first stroke of genius before all of the others. Then, he pioneered into the subtly-branded Off-White line of clothing and accessories, which uses quotations and text to ironically make a statement about each of the pieces. As with Supreme, the beauty lies in the collaborations, because, from a reselling standpoint, Off-White x Jordan collaboration kicks sell the best, with the most expensive pair raking in over $5,000 in profit (I'm green with envy too, don't worry).
