Miki Agrawal, THINX

We all remember the subway ads of THINX, the period-proof underwear brand co-founded in 2013 by Miki Agrawal. She was proclaimed a "disruptor" and feminist entrepreneur (although she had her own issues with the term "feminist"). Despite public acclaim, Agrawal stepped down as CEO in March 2017. A few days later, an article in Racked detailed an atmosphere of aggression and exploitation. The most shocking allegations claimed sexual harassment and boundary-breaking in the workplace; she was accused of touching employees breasts, asking them to expose them, sharing nude photos, and even tuned into a video-conference in bed and unclothed. The legal claim of harassment was eventually settled with no admission of wrongdoing, and Agrawal has gone on to launch a new venture, called TUSHY, and write a second book.
