You're not getting enough sleep

Sorry not sorry, but waking up at 6 am to get in that morning run ends up being pretty pointless if you didn't get a healthy amount of sleep the night before. When we're snoozing, our bodies produce crucial hormones - leptin and adiponectin. Leptin is our natural appetite suppressant, while adiponectin helps us respond better to insulin. Not getting the recommended seven to nine hours per night causes us not only to be tired and crabby, but also crave more carbohydrates and likely eat more throughout the day. So go ahead, press the snooze button.
