You're exercising too much

Doing two-a-days without noticing a difference? Weirdly enough, your body also produces cortisol while you're exercising - but that's not always a bad thing. Technically, working out is putting stress on your bod, and cortisol is involved in the process that gives your muscles energy. Working out too much, however, leads to excess cortisol, which in turn can cause you to retain water weight and hold onto fat. Sigh. Can we even win?! Well, yes. Just stop overdoing it and make sure you're allowing your bod enough recovery time.
