Consider what you are snacking on and when.

Do you find yourself eating a pint of Ben and Jerry’s right after reading the news? Or are you getting up from your ‘work from home’ desk to roam the kitchen cabinets and fridge multiple times a day? If so, you are emotional eating. Your subconscious mind is looking to reduce stress and find comfort by going to those foods that can give you a spike of dopamine or simply distract you from having to be present with difficult thoughts and feelings. During this kind of stressful time, your conscious and subconscious minds are working overtime to mitigate all the uncomfortable feelings of fear, grief, loneliness, disruption of routine and the biggest of them all, UNCERTAINTY.
