What Is It?
Shadowboxing was founded by former derivatives trader Daniel Glazer and made its debut in the Flatiron District in late April. The 45-minute workout consists of intense and guided shadowboxing, heavy bag work, and body weight exercises. Led by professional instructors, each session varies in style, but all sessions include elements of interval training and are highly motivating and inspiring. The 40 person class has no physical contact or fighting. Participants focus on their own space and push themselves to their personal limits. Coupled with upbeat music, you can’t beat this full body workout! Shadowboxing has been referred to as “the SoulCycle of boxing.” One session is expected to burn approximately 800-1000+ calories.
