By now we can all probably type on a keyboard without looking down, right? Our fingers know just where to go on the QWERTY map. The same intuitive muscle memory applies to our apps as well. When you do something so much, you start clicking around without thinking. But this weekend, we were all in for a rude awakening.
Instagram, which frequently updates with added features and a few slight changes we learn to recognize, caused absolute chaos when it switched around two buttons on Insta Stories.
Allow me to explain. Those of us who use the Stories feature have a routine: take photo, save it, edit it, post it (or not). The save button has always been located in the bottom left corner. But now, that button has been moved to a toolbar at the top. The new bottom left corner button adds the photo directly to your public story. If you've ever taken a nude with one of those cute filters, you know just how dangerous this little switcheroo can be.
Instagram switched the placement of the save button to a “immediately post this to your story” button and I’ve already accidentally posted 3 nudes out there rip

So if you noticed a few of your friends have been posting sexy photos, or worse: unedited #OOTDs, and then immediately deleting them, this is very likely the reason. Stay woke, y'all.
