Photoshop Accusations
In case you're new here, this is hardly the first time Danielle has gained attention for all the wrong reasons. One of the earliest examples is the accusation that she heavily photoshops her posts. A number of accounts dedicated to pointing out her "photoshop fails" have popped up over the years, including the now-inactive @WePhotoshoppedWhat2.
In our interview with the anonymous admin of the account in 2020, they cited the negative impact of social media body-editing as the reason behind the call-outs. "The effects aren’t nothing – body dysmorphia and eating disorders as a result of following influencers is real," they explained, adding that if they could speak to Danielle directly, they would "love to tell her that she’s absolutely gorgeous in her natural body, [but] I’d mostly like to bring to her attention the harmful effect she has on so many girls. I feel like she is so disconnected that she truly has no idea."
Since then, Danielle has tearfully addressed her own body image issues, and has vowed to post real, unedited photos after realizing "how impactful" her photoshopping was.
