No more "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," no longer legal support for discrimination, what remains is pure equality. Vermont took the first leap, legally recognizing civil unions for gay and lesbian couples in 2000. Four years later, same sex marriage was legalized in Massachusetts. In 2011, New York followed suit. And today, June 26, our nation joined in support.
