Nail Checks?!
It's not that shocking that a customer-facing job in hospitality would require you to look your best at all times, but as Ali's first guest revealed, in addition to keeping up with their Botox and Pilates sessions, waitresses were required to have "nail checks," i.e. their manager would line them up and examine their nails. "When you're holding a $15,000 of champagne you can't have gross dirty nails," she explained.
