Post Office
If whiskey is your poison of choice, Post Office is the place to go. The whiskey den is brimming with a collection of more than thirty varieties of fine bourbons and ryes. The name is inspired by the line from Bukowski’s novel
Post Office: “The whiskey and beer ran out of me, fountained from the armpits.” The bar also has a selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails, and the menu boasts appetizers like the beloved pickle plate (featuring beets, cauliflower, red pepper, shitakes, watermelon rinds, and Asian pears) alongside their shredded pulled pork sandwich. The rustic Americana decor and comfortably worn armchairs make this a cozy, low-key Friday night spot.
