Cute looks abounded and a surprise musical guest was about to take the stage but we had to dash to the next thing: a screening of new brit comedy “Alan Partridge,” which drew an equally star-studded crowd from the opposite end of the cultural spectrum. This American Life’s Ira Glass. This guy is like god of the podcasters, which may sound geeky but when the film was over he broke a bottle of beer. (It was accidental but it was still pretty fucking punk rock.)
