Saturday: Gallow Green

In between shows we got to check out the first evening of the season for rooftop bar and lounge, Gallow Green. Speaking of seasons, the good people at Gallow Green couldn’t have gotten better weather if they had paid for it. The setting sun’s rays illuminated party-goers as they mingled with nymphs, witches, and a seven-piece brass band. We got “smudged” by a couple of mysterious ladies, which is a lot tamer than it sounds; it was a cleansing ritual involving burning some sage, facing a couple cardinal directions, picking herbs, and breathing funny. We tried to take their picture but they murmured something about not stealing their souls and disappeared into the foliage which punctuates this lovely space.
