How has it only been a year since L'Avenue at Saks opened? Personally, I feel like I've been to at least 3 years worth of parties there! The true sign of a hot spot I suppose. After all, the Parisian export did serve as the scene to any soirée worth getting dressed for: Virgil Abloh's CFDA Awards After Party, Alexander Wang's NYFW After Party, the Vanity Fair Best Dressed List Party, Cocktails with Balmain and Antoni Porowski's book launch, to name a few.
Whether you've been a repeat shopper, diner, or guest, I'm definitely not the only one who's been walking that catwalk entrance of a hallway. Not only have It Models du jour Gigi Hadid and Winnie Harlow been spotted there many a time, they each loved it so much they hosted their birthday parties there. And really, who can forget Gigi's denim-themed bash?
So, what can we learn after a year in the life of a fashion favorite hot spot, other than the fact that denim-on-denim is always a good idea? Well, their most popular dish has been, unsurprisingly, the Spicy Tuna Tartare (we can attest, it's a must-order). Their most ordered cocktails have been Saks in the City, le Saint Germain des Prés and Kir Royal Rhubarb - proof that New York is still not over a fun mixology moment. Over 5,700 Costes Cheesecakes were ordered - proof that New Yorkers are secretly all about a dairy diet. And if you think that's a lot, diners treated themselves to more than 24,000 Pierre Hermé Macarons. Très chic.
