Life and Spy bar were too of my favs when I think back.. Spy Bar was more intimate and exclusive with King at the door. I used to go there with an artist named Jimmy Rizzi and he introduced me to some of my influences like Billy Corgan and Scott Ian. I was still very impressionable and the setting was decadent and new. It was the first time I had seen bottle service in a club.
Life was more of a club than Spy.. You can see anything in there. I've seen Prince perform.. Jackie Christie and Mark Ronson would spin. All the club owners were in there as promoters then... I was working for Mark Baker and Steve Lewis in the VIP.
