This '90s music hub was opened by (you guessed it) Don Hill, after two previous ventures were shut down. He certainly found success with this spot. This is the place where a baby-faced Julian Casablancas doused a monitor with beer and was decisively asked to leave; this is the place where The Misshapes started their career with their namesake dance night. After Hill's death, and an attempted re-vamping that ultimately fizzled, Don Hill's shut down for good in 2011. Don't cry because it's over; mosh because it happened.
