The Freehand's buzzed-about New York outpost is making its mark. Besides a number of trendy eateries, the Flatiron Hotel boasts a handsome cocktail bar in the space's original library room. Named for our first prez, the lounge is full of vintage furniture and dark wood paneling. Sophisticated but "not too serious."
