Mathias Van Leyden, Owner of Loulou Petite Bistro & Speakeasy

Nightlife in New York had become quite boring for a while even before COVID and the pandemic will most likely call for a rebirth of something different. It isn't enough to book DJs and sell overpriced bottles anymore. Smaller places will do better as many will not venture in large packed venues. It will be about truly catering a much more curated experience for our guests. People want to experience live music and art, learn something new and discover unique spaces full of surprises. There are so many opportunities now. New York will always be New York and things will come back better than it was prior to COVID. This is a chance for all of us to go the extra mile and create something special.
