If there's anywhere in the world to be single, it's NYC. You can do whatever (dare I say whomever?) WHENEVER you want, and you just never know what you might get yourself into. Especially at Lower East Side hot spot, Rochelle's.
The grungy-cool watering hole just celebrated five years in the game as one of NYC's Best Singles Bars, and it's still one of the liveliest places to be downtown.
Even if you've yet to step inside, you've probably seen the Saturday night line on the corner of Christie and Stanton (on which we've personally witnessed strangers exchanging numbers). And while they are open seven days a week, Rochelle's Creative Director Brett David told us at their recent anniversary bash that Thursday nights are his favorite - they don't call 'em thirsty for nothing.
With an impressive array of whiskey behind the bar, along with a cocktail called "Daddy Issues," it's no wonder the young and fun continue to flock. Whether you're looking for a bae (even if just for the night), the spot is a non-stop party. The usual suspects include 20- and 30-somethings, models, skaters, and bad ass chicks. It's almost like you've gone back in time to an epic college party (but you're much cooler now than you were back then).
Next time you're out in LES let your inner party animal go at Rochelle's and thank us later. Like their infamous wall art says, "Bad decisions served nightly."
