The New York Post reported last week that newly opened, member-frequented downtown haunt Omar's La Boîte hosted a secret party for an intimate group of “privileged business owners” who are “big in the downtown scene” which required a code at the door for entrance. Although the owner, Omar Hernandez, denies that claim, a new article published in Air Mail details a downtown bash (at an unnamed location) in which the bouncer (wearing a mask, at least) asked for the password before letting guests enter a subterranean staircase.
