With an emphasis on artisan distilleries, The Evening Bar at the Smyth Hotel uses organic fruit and vegetable extracts with a studied approach to classic recipes. Some call it a speakeasy bar, but it's actually Andrew Carmellini's baby with a mid-century California vibe. The legendary restaurateur opened the bar just last month; it's no secret the drink menu is worthy of a five star rating, with ingredients like Porcini vinegar, mushroom, egg, byrrh, walnut liqueur, and beet powder.
