Bemelmans Bar, The Carlyle
One of the city's most upscale bars, Bemelmans hosts an old-fashioned vibe from the white coated waiters to the sophisticated drinks and elegant piano music. Artwork adorning the walls may seem familiar, nostalgic even, seeing as the bar is named after Ludwig Bemelmans, who wrote the famous Madeline children's books. The cover charge and drink prices may have your wallet thirsty for days, but you won't regret ordering their savory Pisco Sours or famous whiskey cocktails. Be prepared to spend at least $100 (but it's worth the experience!).
