The Lobby Lounge at Nine Orchard
The majestic new Nine Orchard in the heart of the Lower East Side's "Dimes Square" has been generating plenty of buzz lately. Not least of all due to its Beaux-Arts gem of a lobby bar, which boasts the original landmark architecture of a former bank, complete with soaring ceilings and intricate design details. The opulent interiors set the scene for the hotel's lounge, helmed by star chef Ignacio Mattos. While the grandiose aesthetic is enough of a reason to visit, the cocktails and small plates definitely don't disappoint.
