Bar Calico / Georgia Room at The Freehand
The Freehand's Flatiron outpost has gotten a nightlife facelift thanks to the trio behind Authentic Hospitality (that would be nightlife gurus Matt Kliegman, Carlos Quirarte, and Matthew Charles). An entire floor has been transformed into a Southwest-inspired drinking den with two distinct venues, Bar Calico and Georgia Room, together totaling 8,000 square feet of chic hangout space. With its dark wood interiors and cozy corners, Bar Calico takes on the role of an intimate cocktail salon, while Georgia Room provides more of a music-fueled clubby atmosphere.
