TAO Downtown
Overview: Among all the mega-clubs in NYC, the just-opened TAO Downtown sits atop the list, with its sheer size and opulence drawing the attention of even the most casual party-goer. The enormous dining room is fitting for the diverse and delectable Asian cuisine, but we'll be spending most of our time at the adjacent lounge, which is being overseen by Nur Khan. He makes a return to his former Hiro Ballroom space, and will help bring a Downtown, grungy crowd alongside the typical Strategic Group figures.

Insider's Scorecard: TAO kicked off with a serious bang. Its opening night, black-tie affair drew in a who's who of pop culture; everyone from Katie Holmes and the Kings of Leon to Cameron Diaz and Naomi Campbell showed up to the spectacular event. The space also hosted Daniel Radcliffe, James Marsden, and more for the "Kill Your Darling" screening after-party, and has continued with strong private events in it's early stages.
