Once the home of underground rock, the legendary club CBGB has now been transformed into John Varvatos Bowery, a rock n' roll boutique by men's designer John Varvatos. Varvatos retained the nostalgic dive bar feel by barely touching the graffitti painted walls; the space stands mostly as it did when it was a night club. Varvatos made a few small changes however, adding his collection of vintage clothing, vinyl records, memorabilia, and his limited edition 315 Bowery line, which will be available exclusively in the store this fall. Even through the transformation the space still holds live performances! Last night Lower East Side rockers Reckless Sons took the stage while guests double fisted free cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
