All photos by PATRICK McMULLAN & BEN GABBE for PMc] The Plaza Hotel opened its gilded doors to a society of animal lovers last night for the 12th Annual Bergh Ball "Rescue Me" hosted by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Martha Stewart was the night's honoree, and was presented with the ASPCA Presidential Service Award by ASPCA President and CEO, Ed Sayres. Isaac Mizrahi presided as the emcee while the ball drew a diverse crowd of passionate animal rights advocates such as Bernadette Peters, Somers Farkas, Catherine Malandrino, Lake Bell, and James Nederlander.
