Wednesday night, at the beautiful home of Mark Langrish in the Financial District cocktails sponsored by VeeV (an amazing new acai liquor) and hors d'ourves were served while we were invited to browse and encouraged to try on pants and shorts by Bonobo's, the Holy Grail of pants.
I had heard about Bonobo's pants before, but had never had the exciting experience of trying them on. Let me be frank... they are BY FAR the MOST flattering pants I have ever put on ESPECIALLY in the trunk (if you know what i mean). My fashion illustrator friend J. David McKenney who accompanied me will vouch.
I bought 2 pairs of pants and 1 pair of shorts on the spot. The styles ranged from a mock seer-sucker (great for the Hamptons), to gray dress pants that both breathed well and moved. The back pockets have a signature "wink" providing a peek-a-boo of sorts to clever lining.
Its was also my first time trying VeeV, the acai based liquor that was included in the New York Times article "Alcohol Goes on a Health Kick." It combines the anti-oxidant power of the Brazilian super-fruit with a wheat fermentation process similar to vodka. Healthy booze? You can't go wrong!
All in all, I had a blast drinking and shopping... Thanks Mark!
