Friday found me as Interview and Alex and Ani presented the launch of Natalie Portman's and Christine Alward's makingof.com. The party was held at the Tribeca townhouse of Stuart Parr and the place was magnificent. You entered in the basement and were greeted by a full length swimming pool. After getting a bit lost we found the right door and were led upstairs to the main event...
The guest list was extremely tight and the total attendees numbered no more than 75. We were invited by our good friends at Interview Magazine including Susan Kilkenny, Renata Merriam, David Hamilton, Rebecca Sinn and Steve Mooallem. We were actually some of the first to arrive but before long the place filled with the most interesting and diverse crowd that I've seen in a while. First to arrive were Douglas Friedman and co-hort Carlos Motta. Then Natalie Portman arrived looking radiant as always.
As the champagne flowed in came more of the beautiful crowd. We mixed, mingled, laughed and caught up with Anne Hathaway and new beau Adam Shulman, Rashida Jones, Jeffrey Wright, Debbie Harry, Carolyn Rafaelian, Rachel Sheedy and Ross Bleckner. So far this year this has been the party to beat and I was glad to be a part of it.
