Who Are Libbie & David Mugrabi?
The daughter of a New Jersey plastic surgeon, Libbie grew up between New Jersey and Palm Beach and has said that she was accustomed to wealth at an early age. She met David Mugrabi in Aspen when she was 22 and they got engaged six months later. Their 2005 wedding was a blowout affair at The Pierre boasting a 500-person guest list.
David is the scion of the billionaire Mugrabi family, one of the art world's richest and most prominent dynasties. He and his brother Alberto "Tico" Mugrabi are the sons of Jose Mugrabi, a Syrian-Israeli tycoon who is known for having the largest private collection of Warhols along with coveted pieces by Renoir, Picasso, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. David and Tico have both extended their last name's art world influence as bigwig dealers.
