The Split
On Wednesday, Page Six broke the news that Wintour and Bryan had split, but according to People, the pair had been quietly kaput for a few years now. It's true that the last time they were photographed together was at the 2018 US Open and they certainly weren't looking lovey-dovey.
Page Six claims that things started going south for them way back in 2013, after it was revealed that Bryan owed the IRS $1.2 million in back taxes. That embarrassing bomb apparently dashed Wintour's hopes of becoming President Obama's ambassador to Britain after the couple had raised millions for his reelection campaign. I'd be pissed too, girl.
Weirdly enough, buzz around town claims that Bryan has gone back to his ex-wife, whose subsequent husband, investment banker Damon Mezzacappa, died in 2015. However, sources close to her deny it, saying they're friendly because, duh, they have kids together.
