Ivana Trump's Favorite NYC Restaurant Paid Her A Sweet Tribute

Even after her 1992 divorce from Donald Trump, flamboyant socialite Ivana Trump remained a fixture on the Upper East Side, forever enjoying the finer things in life (after all, as she said in her iconic cameo in The First Wives Club, "Don't get mad, get everything!").

Among them, it seems, were the infamously pricey dishes of Madison Avenue mainstay Nello.

The former model and ex-Mrs. Trump frequented the spot so much over the decades, sometimes dining there multiple times a week, that the restaurant paid tribute to its favorite regular following the 73-year-old's death this month.

On Wednesday, the controversial Italian eatery, which made waves back in 2019 for reportedly banning single women from sitting solo at the bar (for fear that they were "escorts"), held its own memorial for Ivana following her funeral, which was attended by her friend and Nello owner Thomas Makkos.

The restaurant held Ivana's favorite table for the night, a corner booth where she would usually enjoy the veal ossobuco, and turned it into a candlelit memorial covered in red carnations, with one of their signature oversized red teddy bears keeping vigil.

"Ivana was beloved by all who work here and will be sorely missed," Makkos said.
