White Privilege

"I am by no means calling Jess a racist but what I will say is this: she is very well aware of her wealth, her perceived power and privilege because of the color of her skin. And that, my friends, gave her the momentary confidence to come for my livelihood in writing," Exeter says in the video.

Similar to what we've seen with the likes of Amy Cooper and Svitlana Flom (the "socialite" and restaurant owner who was recorded calling the police on a Black woman just because she thought she didn't belong in her neighborhood), Mulroney positioned herself as the victim in this situation and weaponized her privilege to threaten Exeter, telling her that she spoke to brands and companies (who Exeter may have worked with or may work with in the future) to tell them about the influencer's "treatment" of her. She also allegedly wrote, "You think your voice matters - well it only matters if you express it with kindness and without shaming people who are simply trying to learn. Good luck."
