This ladies-only club is one of the oldest and largest women’s nonprofit volunteer organizations in New York City. And though a membership here is akin to taking a second job, the rewards without a doubt exceed the time commitment. Joining a historical roster of inspirational members like Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan, and Eleanor Roosevelt, your social graces are sure to improve. The NYJL hosts a plethora of swanky events in its Upper East Side Astor House space, and they’re usually followed with a night cap at Dorrian's.
