In 1956, a 25-year-old Murdoch married his first wife, Patricia Booker, a department store model and airline attendant. The couple had one child together, Murdoch's eldest daughter Prudence, before splitting in 1967. Like her mother, Prudence has mostly stayed out of the dynasty spotlight.
