Outside of J.P. Morgan and Edward Elmer Potter, many other familiar names have a held the title of "Brother." The requirements to become a member were few but important. They had to be from New York and inside of their society. They all had to be opulently wealthy and have a degree from an Ivy League University. Other famous members: James Hampden Robb, the city's Parks Commissioner; Lewis Cass Ladyard, the co-founder of the New York Public Library; and Nelson Aldrich, a Republican Senator and father of Abigail Rockefeller.
