Caroline is, obviously, the daughter of Rudy Giuliani. Her mom is Rudy's second wife, Donna Hanover, the former broadcast journalist and television personality. Her brother Andrew is a political aide for the Trump administration and apparently one of the president's go-to golfing companions.
Despite having an instantly-recognizable last name, Caroline has long tried to separate herself from it - in college, she even adopted her mom's surname, going by Caroline Hanover.
"I’ve spent a lifetime forging an identity in the arts separate from my last name, so publicly declaring myself as a 'Giuliani' feels counterintuitive," she wrote at the start of her piece for Vanity Fair. "But I’ve come to realize that none of us can afford to be silent right now."
