Baking

Before quarantine, I was famous for saying, "I AM TOO BUSY."

In the months leading up to March, I was working and traveling around so much, I hadn't spent more than 5 consecutive days at home.

And then, everything changed. My trip to LA was cancelled, followed by Tokyo, Milan, Hawaii... and my work hours dwindled down to zero.

So... NOW WHAT? I had to find other ways to keep myself busy.

I decided to take a giant leap into my kitchen and take on baking for the first time. I went to my favorite store WHISK before everything shut down and bought all the supplies I needed. Banana bread, chocolate chip cookies, rice krispies... I tried it all. #Quarantine15

Making something with my hands from scratch was so therapeutic and it was a way for me to slow down and come to terms with my new reality.

Following recipes online was SUPER difficult for me as a beginner so, I ended up tuning in to insta lives instead. Some of my favorite accounts to follow for cooking videos are @amandahesser and @amydcurrie
