How Photographer Yumi Matsuo Is Pivoting Her Vision & Keeping Creative In Quarantine

A silver lining of the spring has been the NYC street closures. We live on one of the closed off streets in Williamsburg and it has brought the community together in a way I've never seen before. 

I lovingly call it the Berry Block Party. I think it's going to blow up this summer but people are already bringing out lawn games, setting up patio chairs and doing all kinds of socially distant activities in the streets.

I joke that socially distant walks are the new happy hour... but it's starting to be true! 

My husband and I make sure to be out here every day at 7pm so we can participate in #clapbecausewecare. It's a great way to end the day with our neighbors and really drives the point home that we're going to get through this together.
