Casually located on its own private island in the Thousand Island region of upstate New York, Boldt Castle was commissioned by millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt in 1900 as a tribute to his wife Louise. After remaining vacant for 70 years, the fairy tale estate has been restored to its full glory and now hosts tours and weddings.
