When you're the richest man in the world, a single penthouse apartment just won't do. So, of course, you purchase two additional units to add to it.
Indeed, Amazon bazillionaire Jeff Bezos is reportedly closing on a deal worth around $80 million inside luxury Flatiron building 212 Fifth Avenue, which includes the plush, three-floor penthouse (known as "The Crown") as well as the two units below it. All together, the residence will feature 12 bedrooms, multiple outdoor terraces, a grand atrium stairway, and fireplaces galore. At a total of 17,000 square feet, it's a veritable mansion in the sky. Surely enough room for him and his new girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez.
Additionally, the building itself provides residents with 24-hour concierge services, a screening room, fitness center, "golf simulator" (ok), and boardroom, just in case Bezos needs to host a last-minute meeting that, for some reason, won't fit inside his three-unit home.
