We can't be the only one with dreams of living in a Gilded Age mansion!
Well, get ready, because this insane real estate situation just might be the deal of the century.
The 48,000 square-foot, 56 room Glen Cove home of retail magnate Frank W. Woolworth is hitting the auction block, with a minimum bid of $7 million. And considering the insane property, built in 1916 on 16 acres, was formerly listed at $19.95 million, that's a pretty crazy discount. I mean, back in the day it cost a whopping $10 million to build ($2 million of which went to a pink marble staircase)!
Of course the buyer will have to be cool with more than just rooms and rooms covered in marble, with rumors that the place is haunted by sounds of organ music, a woman crying, and apparitions.
They truly don't build them like this anymore! Click through to tour the stunning space.
