Sacred Chow
Vegan, Kosher, organic and ethically produced—what more could you want from a restaurant? This tiny space in Greenwich Village, decked out in Middle Eastern décor, serves an appealing array of tapas, salads and sandwiches such as Mama’s Soy Meatballs and a vegan version of a Casear Salad that’s surprisingly close to the real deal. The selection of gluten-free desserts is a sweet way to end the meal. Sacred Chow also offers a prix fixe weekend brunch menu, if you’re in the mood for a tofu scramble or omega-3 waffle on a Sunday morning.
