It's not often you see a diner nominated for a James Beard award, but with owner Samuel Yoo's experience working at Momofuku Ko and Torrisi Italian Specialties, it probably wasn't hard for him to upgrade traditional comfort fare to gain recognition from both diners and critics alike.
