New York City may be home to plenty of internationally acclaimed eateries, but there's no denying that even our best home-grown dining destinations have some major competition across the globe. Luckily for us local foodies, we won't need a plane ticket to get a taste of what we're missing.
Noma, the Copenhagen-based culinary institution which currently holds the title of the World's Best Restaurant, is making a very rare - and very exclusive - appearance in the city this spring.
The celebrated spot, hailed for its ultra seasonal, totally off-the-land (and sea) take on New Nordic cuisine, is teaming up with Resy and American Express for a five-day pop-up in Brooklyn.
From May 16th to 20th, New Yorkers will be transported to Denmark via Dumbo, and enjoy a coveted meal courtesy of chef-owner René Redzepi and the renowned Noma team at Brooklyn's landmarked former metal works foundry.
Truly one for the bucket list, the experience includes a cocktail hour and multi-course seated dinner highlighting Noma's signature dishes (complete with wine pairings) adapted for springtime in New York.
Sound too good to be true? Well, there is a catch. In order to snag a seat at one of these special dinners, potential guests must be American Express Platinum Card holders and become a member of Resy's Global Dining Access program. Both prerequisites are beyond worth it if you ask us.
Tickets go on sale April 27th, so we suggest getting those signups going ASAP.
