This Healthy Hot Spot Is Serving Up Delicious, Gluten-Free Spring Cocktails

It's 2022 - we're all well-aware of gluten-free food and its benefits for sensitive stomachs, but how about when it comes to booze?

While there are plenty of gluten-free cocktail options to make at home, chances are the bartender at your crowded haunt won't have time to chat about each ingredient and its nutritional facts before whipping up your sip. Do you risk the gluten or forget about your buzz?

Well, at recently opened East Village hot spot TLK (Tiger Lily Kitchen), you don't have to worry about either.

The Asian-influenced bar and eatery from hospitality veteran Michelle Morgan (formerly of Paris Café, Beauty & Essex, and Stanton Social) is all about all-gluten-free-everything, from its vibrant, veggie-forward dishes to its flavorful, healthy-ish cocktails.

So obviously, come for the food, stay for the drinks, which are all served up in an airy space decked out with chic velvet banquettes, custom aluminum copper topped tables, and plenty of plants.

Made with gluten-free spirits along with coconut water, green tea, and botanical infusions, the seasonal selection of sips includes the Pandan Tiki (certified-organic single estate Copalli rum infused with sencha green tea, coconut pandan, pineapple, and lime), Passion Flower (mezcal with Aperol, St. Germain, passion fruit, ginger, and mango Sanzo sparkling water), and Mezcal Margarita accented with Thai basil puree. The mindful beverage program also features natural wines with a focus on women winemakers, hard kombucha, and beers from local breweries.

Clearly you don't need gluten to have quite the party!
