Prune
You don't hear too much about Prune these days. Not like when it first opened, and you would have thought it was the restaurant to end all restaurants with the endless chatter that surrounded it. But alas, all hype must quiet - unless you're the cronut exception. Still, a little bit of a shame it's fallen off the map since the food has not tripped a step. Hungry and culturally curious? The Youth Hostel Breakfast, a platter of fresh pastes, liver wursts, lanjaegers, grainy breads, and condiments galore. Feeling something less exotic, more rich to the taste? Fried Oyster Omelette with remoulade all the way. Money Shot.
Prune, 54 East 1st Street
