Epistrophy Cafe
The first thing that hits you when you walk in the door of Epistrophy Cafe is the smell of bread. A bit of a change from the first thing that hits you when you walk in the door at The Butcher's Daughter, which is a crowd of people. Where the latter is fresh and sweet, the former is quaint and charming. And while this cafe's avocado toast may be covered in prosciutto, fontina, and tomatoes, there are plenty of healthy, lighter options to be found on Epistrophy's Sardinian-inspired menu, like their tuscan kale salad. Still, even if you trekked down to Nolita with the healthiest, most gluten-free of intentions, if you take a seat here, you're going to end up eating bread. But don't worry - you won't have time to feel bad because you'll be too busy feeling good.
