China Chalet
Perhaps the strangest place to earn see-and-be-seen status in the city. By day, China Chalet, a second-floor dim sum spot in the Financial District, serves up classic Chinese in a dining room that seems somewhat stuck in the '80s. But by night, skater boys and off-kilter fashion kids take over with raucous dance parties and DJ sets, using the roses on every table as the ultimate props.
